You may know that Brimstone Recreation is one of Tennessee’s premier ATV destinations. You will be pleased to know that the off-road park offers over 300 miles of trails through mountainous and wooded areas, which is excellent. Did you know that the courses are rated, marked, and well-maintained?
And the terrain ranges from simple logging roads to steep and challenging hill climbs to rutted trails. You will even find a few mud bogs and many shallow stream crossings along your routes. And that is not all; Brimstone is also home to many popular ATV and UTV events.
Before you head out to this park, you have to first register at its office. The office is located off Huntsville’s Main Street. You can buy trail permits, riding gear, maps, and other accessories from the office.
Adventure Off-Road Park
This is another excellent spot. The 500-acre off-road park is located in the gorgeous mountains of south-central Tennessee. This park is dedicated to creating the best off-road experience. As a rider, you must have a North Cumberland Special Use Permit or a WMA permit. You can also purchase them online from license agents.
Keep in mind that the area-wide speed limit is about 25 mph, and organized competition events are prohibited in the area. Also, remember that reckless operation of both motorized and non-motorized vehicles is not allowed.
Belle Ridge Retreat
This nice little spot is great as it still manages to have a little bit of everything. For example, you can benefit from RV hookups, a convenience store, tent sites, a laundromat, Wi-Fi, and a bathhouse. The ATV trails at this location are more than ten miles, and there’s also a two-mile hiking trail.
